Objective To study the preparation and quality control method of tretinion cream. Methods To determine the content of tretinion by the first order derivative spectrophotometry. Results The average recoveries of tretinion was 99.7%(RSD=1.1%). Conclusion The preparation of tretinion cream is reasonable in technology, feasible in quality control.
